Enhance learning, save time and help educators fund innovative projects in the classroom.

Why is Currix Needed?

Across the country, a digital revolution is taking place in education, but unfortunately huge sums of money are being poured into expensive technology relying on educators to fill in the gaps with materials to teach with new technology.

In fact, last year public school teachers spent $3.5 billion of their own personal money on educational resources and spent more than ten hours a week outside the classroom working on lessons for class.

Currix gives educators access to the latest in digital lessons by top educators and a place to learn how to create these resources on their own. Teachers are doing amazing things. Currix gives them a platform to share that with the world.

Who is Behind Currix?

Ann-Caryn Cleveland is a professor, a documentary filmmaker and a mom. The idea for Currix came like a lightening bolt. Literally. She was trying to teach her Cinematography students about electricity and realized that since she didn't have any visual examples, her students had a hard time grasping the concept. She animated a video of water as an analogy to explain volts, amps and watts. Her students aced the next test. That's when Currix began.

While not every teacher has the ability to animate their lessons, many people have innovative ways to bring ideas to life to educate students.

Currix gives educators the opportunity to connect to these affordable and cutting-edge digital lessons. In fact, the electricity lesson was just the beginning of Currix...to learn more about Ann-Caryn's story, read Confessions of a Female Start-up Founder.
